April 25th the Varela administration opened the second line of the Panama Metro system, an elevated system connecting San Miguelito with Nuevo Tocumen covering 21 kms with 16 stations.
The construction of Line 2 of the Panama Metro is reported to be at 87% done.
The State, through the Metro of Panama, has granted $120 million during 2016, 2017 and 2018, in order to maintain the rate of 35cents to users.
