Coronado Photo Exhibition update

The Flora & Fauna of Panama Photo Exhibition & Contest is an opportunity to strut your photographic stuff - Don’t miss the deadline July 8th, 2017. Drop by Coronado Frame & Foto to see the exhibition and place your vote! Voting opens Friday, July 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. and will close 5:30 Saturday, July 22, 2017.

 Notes and updates:

  • there is a change is print size since the last contest. * 7” wide and 10” high
  • there is a change in the number of entries allowed since last communication. * Maximum 2 photos per person entering
  • 1st and 2nd prizes have been announced. *40% of the entry fees go to the winner 10% to second place
  •  After the winner announcement & artist gathering, there will be a Dinner Mixer at Rincon del Chef. Info & RSVP here. 

People have asked for the exhibition portion of the contests to run a little longer in order to give people a better chance to view the photography. With that in mind, the photos will be displayed from July 14th - July 22nd. During that time you can show your support for your favorite photograph by voting for it to win. There will be 1st and 2nd place cash prizes.

How to enter the exhibition:

- Submit up to 2 printed photos in the theme: Flora & Fauna of Panama. Each printed entry can be Color or Black & White, Horizontal or Vertical presentation, 7” wide and 10” high. This is the space your image should take. The total size of the paper can be larger. The image can be printed on plain matte paper, photo paper, canvas or other types of fine art paper. No mounting on hard substrates. MBE Etc. in Coronado will print images to the specs. You can reach them at 507-345-3520 or coronadombe@gmail.com.

 - The entry fee is $20 per photograph. Maximum 2 photos per person entering. Deadline to enter is July 8, 2017.

-  Once we have your entry, we will mount your photograph on foam board and frame with a with a mat. This finishing will be yours to keep once the contest is over.

- The first prize winner will take home 40% of the entries collected. The second prize winner will take home 10% of the entries collected.

- The first prize winner will be selected by a judge, Michael Fantasia of fantasiaphotographicarts.com who will be looking for the photograph, that follows the theme, and has photographic and artistic merit. Send prize winner will be selected by community vote.
