On November 3, 1903, Panama took a defining step in its history, formally separating from Colombia and declaring itself an independent republic.

This milestone marked the birth of a sovereign nation that would go on to build the iconic Panama Canal and establish itself as a global crossroads. Every year, Panamanians celebrate this day with parades, flag ceremonies, and community gatherings that honor the courage and vision of those who shaped the nation.
