Las Tablas is gearing up for Carnival 2026.

The National Government ordered the closure of public and municipal offices throughout the country on Monday, February 16, and Wednesday, February 18, 2026, through Executive Decree No. 3.
The measure applies to all national and municipal public entities, intending to facilitate citizen participation in the celebrations and promote domestic tourism during this period.
The decree justifies the measure based on the country’s cultural tradition and the economic impact generated by Carnival, considering it a high-impact recreational, social, and tourist activity.
Carnival 2026 in Coronado Panama

Penonomé Water Carnival
Among the most anticipated events is the Penonomé Water Carnival, whose water fights will continue until 5:00 p.m., in addition to parades that will take place from Sunday to Tuesday starting at 9:00 p.m.
Chitré Carnival
Meanwhile, the 2026 Chitré Carnival will officially kick off on Friday, February 13, with the traditional Pechugón, an emblematic event that will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. in Unión and Centenario Parks.
