Panama take 8 golds in El Salvador

With eight gold medals and records in javelin and high jump at the Central American Championship in El Salvador, Panamanian youths finished in fourth place.

Along with their gold medals the Panamanian youth team also took home nine silver and five bronze. 

The young Panamanian athletes are now preparing to compete in the South American Youth of the U-20 category in Colombia, between June 15 and 16. 

Here are some of the young Panamanian talents to keep an eye out for in the upcoming youth games to take place in Colombia: 

Alexander Salazar gold medalist in the 200 meters, Ángela González gold medalist in high jump and Armando Caballero gold medalist in javelin throw. 

The sprinter César González honors in the 100 meters flat and David Bósquez Grimaldo honors in high jump. 

Jean Carlos Cerrud in bullet drive and Katherine Torres with first place in the 400 plans, along with Miguel Aronátegui best in long jump.
