FCC keeps the contract to the beaches

The first section of the beach corridor begins in La Chorrera, up to the community of Santa Cruz, and the second extends to the town of San Carlos.

The FFC Consortium - Corredor de las Playas I,  made up by the companies FCC Construcción SA and Operadora Cicsa, SA was awarded the second section of the project known as the beach corridor that will start in La Chorrera and end in San Carlos , both in the province of Panamá Oeste .

The company had already been awarded the first part of the project where it beat the Costa Rican company Meco and the Panamanian Constructora Urbana SA (CUSA), which had filed appeals before the General Directorate of Public Procurement to stop the act alleging irregularities in the process.

In total, FCC Construcción SA and Operadora Cicsa, SA will add $892 million  between the two tranches to the portfolio of projects they carry out in Panama. The first stretch of the beach corridor begins in La Chorrera, up to the community of Santa Cruz, and the second extends to the town of San Carlos.
