Alonso Edward has qualified for the 200 meters finals

Panamanian athlete, Alonso Edward has achieved his goal of reaching the 200m mens finals. This evening, Edward qualified in the semifinals with a time of 20.07, securing himself a spot in tomorrow’s final event. 

Usain Bolt came in first with a time of 19.78, the Canadian Andre de Grasse with a time of 19.80, Lashawn Merritt USA came in third with a time of 20.01 and Christophe Lemartre of France finished with a time of 20.01. 

We look forward watching to Alonso Edward compete tomorrow, Thursday August 18th in the final event that will take place tomorrow at 8:30 p.m.
