Panama’s big win in FIFA U-20 World Cup
It was an Historic Day for Panama, when the team won 1-2 against Saudi Arabia, marking the first victory for the Panamanians in the history of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Panama’s next match up will be Ukraine. The game will take place on June 3rd.
The victory leaves the Panamanian team, led by Jorge Dely Valdés,with 4 points in Group E of the FIFA World Cup. The points leader is France with 9 points, followed by Mali and Panama both with 4 points.
Much like the historic win that took Panama the to the FIFA World Cup last year, Panama is once again optimistic to take advantage of their holding one of four remaining places in the competition.
This is Panama’s sixth World Cup participation in this category; the first was at the 2003 meeting.
