Panama vs. Costa Rica to keep World Cup dream alive

Panama will face off against Costa Rica, Tuesday 10 October at 7:00 p.m. at the Rommel Fernandez stadium in Panama City. The game comes after a bad beat by the United States.

Panama was defeat 4-0 last Friday in Orlando, before their return home in search of three points to keep them alive in the 2018 World Cup.

The scenario for Panama is similar to that of Four years ago. To get to Brazil in 2014, Panama needed to beat the United States to make it to the playoffs and eliminate Mexico.

Tonight Panama hopes to rewrite the story and for the first time, make it to the FIFA World Cup.

However, the home team is not the only one with fans in the stands. Costa Ricans have been flooding to Panama since last week. According to reports from authorities about 60 buses and 2 airplanes with 145 passengers each carried passengers coming to Panama from Costa Rica to see the game.

At the same time, Portugal has qualified for the seventh year. The team, captained by Cristiano Ronaldo will attend the World Cup and for fifth consecutive year, after winning this Tuesday in Lisbon against Switzerland 2-0.
