Carnival 2025 For the Family!

The Carnival spirit is in the air in Panama! Carnival is always a vibrant festival in Panama bringing lots of energy and events to the country. Carnival 2025 in Panama is Feb. 28th until March 4th.

Coronado Panama is one of the most popular places for families to spend Carnival in Panama as many larger festivals are not geared towards children. Since the holiday coincides with the end of summer holidays in Panama many families come together to celebrate! 

A Family-Friendly Carnival Getaway 1 Hour from Coronado 

Penonomé celebrates Carnival 2025 with a Children’s Carnival on Saturday, March 1st, 2025. The activities will start at the city’s central avenue, with the "little princesses" leading the festivities.

The celebration program will begin on Saturday with a colorful parade through the main streets of Penonomé, culminating in the central park. A special stage will be set up in this space where various shows and activities will take place, designed especially for children.


On Sunday, the festivities will continue with a big "culeco" from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, promising fun for the whole family. The organizers have prepared multiple attractions for children their parents and friends.

The invitation is open to all families who wish to participate in this children’s version of the Penonomeño carnival, which promises to be a weekend full of joy and entertainment for adults and children.

The warm and welcoming community in Coronado makes the Carnival experience enjoyable even if you do not plan on attending a parade or national event. In Coronado, you’ll find friendly people, eager to share their stories and traditions. The Coronado community blends local tradition with modern amenities offering a wide range of restaurants, bars, and hotels. 

Tuesday, March 4th, is the official day off for public and private sector workers. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, according to the Panama Labor Code, specifically Article 46, is a mandatory day of rest for all workers in the country. Expect traffic in the interior on Wednesday and Thursday following the holiday.
