Minsa says to check vaccination card before traveling
Outbreaks of measles which began being reported late 2016 in Europe, Africa, Asia and the United States, have Panama’s Ministry of Health (Minsa) asking the population to check their vaccination cards before traveling abroad.
Minsa reported that citizens can get vaccinated at both, the Social Security Fund (CSS) and Minsa offices for free.
Minsa warned against protection specifically against measles and rubella. With regards to yellow fever, Brazil is the only country to report active outbreaks in the Americas. Dispute this some countries request visitors have the yellow fever vaccine to enter including Belize, Nicaragua, Cuba, Bahamas, Jamaica, El Salvador, And Bolivia.
