Coronado Photographer heads to the 2016 MBFWP runway

Coronado Photographer Frank Corbett was at the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Panama (Mbfwp) last week. The popular fashion event takes place annually in Panama City, with this year being thebest organized event yet. Frank told us that the runways this year were executed with perfection, and there was a great press platform for those reporting on the event.

There was also a people's runway where the public could model their own designs that were broadcasted on a large screen for everyone to see.

Over a dozen national designers were in attendance this year including: Andrea Sousa (Sousa Pittí), Greta Bayo (Greta by Garbo), Graciela Lasso, Veronica Angel (Vero Angel), Lidia Minota, Anna Francesca Blasser, Daniela Arias (Marciscano), John Bejarano Alessandra Grau (Grau), Moses Sandoya, Annie Cahajín (chajin Designs) and Tony Vergara.

Among the international selection present at Mbfwp were Honduran, Mari Ann Kafati, Dominican designer, Bless My Funk, Nicaraguan designer Adilia German along with Vicente  Castrellón, also from Nicaragua who was at the show for his third time.

There were also eight designers from Costa Rica and representatives of  Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, and Peru.
