These tips are designed to ease your fears and build your understanding of Spanish: Tip #2 The rule for pronunciation of the majority of Spanish words (those ending in a vowel, -s, or –n) is that, unless there is a written accent, the word is stressed on the penultimate (next to last) syllable.
