GINGERED PORK

This QUICK AND EASY recipe goes well with MEXICAN BAKED POTATO WITH SALSA AND GUACAMOLE

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon brown sugar (or palm sugar - but it's much sweeter)
    1 tablespoon olive oil
2 1/2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
    1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
1 tablespoon honey garlic soy sauce
    1 tablespoon light soy sauce
    1/4 cup white wine
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
4 small lean pork steaks, (about 200g each) or
2 pork loins (about 400g each)

How to do:
Coat a medium pan or your BBQ plate (not the grill) with cooking spray,
    Heat up well.
Combine all ingredients, except the meat, in a bowl and mix well.
Add pork to the marinade and toss well to coat.
Then fry the pork, brushing on the marinade, until cooked through well.

Serving:
Serve as a light meal with heated green asparagus and cleaned chopped
Tomatoes. Just before serving poor over the meat a few tablespoons
Guacamole mixed 50:50 with natural joghurt and sprinkle the green of
    Some spring onions.

Tip:
We like this dish as a main meal and combine it with the "MEXICAN POTATO".
A good bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon goes well with this meal.
