look up to see a meteor shower in Panama

The peak of the Geminids meteor shower is large meteor shower will be visible from Panama, without a telescope, so look up!

While this specific meteor shower began on November 19th, the max activity will take place between the nights of the 14th and the 15th of December.

According to NASA, under the optimal conditions an average of 100 - 150 meteors will be visible per hour. 

In order to see the phenomenon often referred to as "shooting stars" look for a spot with little light contamination. Find a spot where the moon is covered, by a building or trees. Wait about a half an hour to see some activity and don’t forget to make a wish! 

Shooting stars, or meteors are particles of rocks, metal or ice in space. When they fall towards Earth as a result of gravity, as they enter atmosphere their light can be seen from earth.
