10th Anniversary of the Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival
Expect the 10th anniversary of the Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival this coming February to be bigger and better than previous years. To that end, the parade which is famous for opening the festival,
will be have more participants than ever and will follow a bigger route. As per tradition, the parade will be led by an upbeat Mardi Gras style jazz band. Following will be bands from local police, fire, pasafino horses, kids from schools programs, folkloric dancers, diablito dancers and more. Even Panama red rum will also be joining in the fun this year, with their own float.
The parade will culminates at the town square parade where the celebrations will continue with musical events. This year 24 kids from local music programs will preform with Lee Oscar of War and a number of other festival performers.
The Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival is a charitable, private, not-for-profit foundation, dedicated to supporting and enriching cultural life in Boquete and beyond. It is run exclusively by unpaid volunteers who organize the community, local small businesses and international artists that come for the festival. 100% of Festival profits support musical programs within local schools.

The festival parade will kick’s off the festival will begin at noon on Thursday the 25th.
