Panama National Fairs 2016

The start of January brings the new calendar year of National fairs throughout the country of Panama. Fairs and festivals are an important way the country develops trading partnerships and generate income for the district. They are also a fun way of highlighting traditions and customs unique to each region.

The 2016 calendar year begins with, the Colmon Fair in Macaracas, followed by the Feria de San Sebastian de Ocu and the highly awaited Festival of Flowers and Coffee in Boquete-Chiriqui, which will take place starting tomorrow, January 14th and last until the 24th of January.

The festivities continue in the Eastern part of the country from the 14th to the 17th of January, with the Agricultural Fair held in Chepo. For those who like seafood a good stop is the Feria del Lago Alajuela in Chilibre and the La Chorrera International Fair.
