Celebrate Pride in Panama 2024

Throughout June Panama celebrates Pride with various activities open to the public, including educational talks, workshops, and a parade and festival.

The event began with the raising of the LGBTQ+ flag on June 1, an educational week addressing topics like discrimination, religion, myths, abuses, experiences, and hate crimes, followed.

Topics covered in these talks included ’Relationship between religion and discrimination’, ’Myths about homosexuality’, and ’LGBT+ hate crimes’.

The month also brings workshops to Panama on business diversity, social networks, and personal entrepreneurship. These workshops aim to empower the community and help with resume building.

All events will take place at the JW Marriott hotel, and interested individuals must register via the portal www.panamapride.org.

On June 17, the Panama Pride gala will honor human rights and activists advocating for equality in the country, paying tribute to notable figures from the LGBTQ+ community in Panama. The gala will celebrate love, diversity, and inclusion through music, art, and solidarity.

The Diverse Art Festival’s second edition will be held from June 24 to 28 at La Manzana de Santa Ana, featuring film screenings, photography exhibitions, poetry circles, and various art-related activities.

A new addition will be the ’Pride Village’, providing entrepreneurs a platform to promote their products and activities, scheduled for June 29 at Plaza V Centenario.
