Panama Black Weekend 2019

For the third year in a row, in an effort of an economic boost in an otherwise slow time of year, Panama will turn Black Friday into a weekend long event in the middle of September.

The Panamanian Association of Shopping Centers (Apacecom) and the Tourism Authority announced Panama Black Weekend will take place,  Friday the 13th, Saturday the 14th and Sunday September 15th.

According to the ATP website more than 3 thousand stores and 11 shopping malls will participate in the third version of the Panama Black Weekend (PBW), with offers in recognized brands and discounts of up to 70%.

Among the shopping centers that will participate are Albrook Mall, Town Center, Soho Mall, Westland Mall, Los Andes Mall, Alta Plaza Mall, Balboa Boutique, Los Pueblos Mall, Atrio Mall, Paseo Central ( Chitré) and Santiago Mall.

Armando Rodríguez, president of the Panamanian Hotel Association, explained an alliance was made with the Copa Airline airline to bring more tourists to the country and offer better hotel deals during the event.

“We want tourists not only to come to buy, but also to get to know Panama. Among the offer we launched, we incorporated a fifth night of free accommodation at participating hotels.
