4 seriously injured in massive explosion
Chaos broke out in Panama City at the PH Costa Mare, in Don Bosco when the explosion of gas tank left 14 injured of which, 4 were left with serious injuries. The blast left several buildings damaged.
Reports call the event at tower 7 one that left Panamanian citizens within range feeling like they were in a war zone. The National Police reported that dozens were injured on the floor that the explosion occurred and damage was caused to four floors of the tower.
The blast caused windows to break in not only the building in which it occurred by building that were almost 40 meters away. Residents of the building were evacuated, and forced to leave all belonging behind.
Personnel arrived from the Fire Stations of Juan Díaz, Tocumen and Clayton and the National Police. The explosives unit was also on site to begin investigations into why the explosion occurred.
Firefighters reported that the explosion was felt in Radial City, Don Bosco, Versailles, Brisas de Golf, Pedregal and Las Mañanitas.
