Operation Safe Passage helps 20 children
At least 20 children and young people from Panama and Colon will be operated at the Children’s Hospital, as part of the project called "Operation Safe Passage",
"Operation Safe Passage", wil be carried out by the 20-30 Active Club of Northeast Panama. The operations will take place from July 23 to 27.
This project also includes of surgeries on children and young people between the ages of 5 to 18 years, with cerebral palsy and also operations on upper and lower limbs, this Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
After undergoing surgeries, patients will undergo physical therapy to improve their motor and postural abilities.
The group of doctors in charge of the operations is composed of Panamanians of various specialties such as orthopedics, anesthesiology, pediatrics, intensivists, general medicine, nurses and orthopedic technicians.
They expect to average 3 to 4 operations a day
