Accident on bridge leaves one dead
Saturday, May 5th a collision took place on the bridge of the Americas in Panama City leaving one dead.
Panama’s fire department reported that the accident, between a sedan and a 4x4 vehicle, took place the night of the 5th, but did not report the cause of the accident.
While it has been reported that one person died in the accident, which was a head-on collision, it has not been reported if anyone else was hurt in the incident.
The personnel of the Emergency Management System, the Red Cross of Panama and the Balboa National Police station were on the scene.
The accident caused heavy traffic on the bridge, and drivers were advised to take a different route. In order to travel to the interior of the country, they needed to use the Centennial bridge.
