Veteran found dead in Boquete

The body of an United States Army veteran was found in his home in Santa Lucia Boquete, province of Chiriqui on May 1st. The Public Ministry of Panama has opened a homicide investigation report.

Joseph Wilcox, 70, was discovered in a pool of blood by police in the bathroom of the rented residence in the tourist district reports El Siglo.  Wilcox, retired,  lived alone in a rented house.  The neighbors alerted the police when he had not been seen for several days.

Giselle Acosta,  Boquete Homicide Prosecutor said that an investigation had been  opened and an autopsy will reveal the causes of death.

Criminology  agents from  the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, officials of the DIJ and the Public Ministry visited the house and the body was to a morgue  in David.
