Puma relocated to national park
A puma was found in the Tierra Prometida sector of Nuevo Libia, Panama. The puma was rescued by the officials of the Ministry of Environment (Miambiente) and the National Police.
Jorge Garcia, head of the Department of Biodiversity and Wildlife of MiAmbiente said that the puma rescue was made difficult due to conditions in the area. The puma most likely came from the sector of the Corredor de los Pobres where some work is being done.
The successful operation took place on Saturday night, January 6th. The animal has already been released in the Soberania National Park.
