Copa cancels flights after Tocumen blackout

Copa Airlines has canceled all scheduled inbound and outbound Panama flights between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm on Monday, September 18, as a result of the blackout at Tocumen airport.

Copa Airlines announced the cancellation of all flights explaining that the situation was out of their control and due to technical difficulties occurring in Tocumen, Panama’s international airport.

"This situation, unrelated to Copa Airlines, continues to affect the functionality of the main airport systems and has significantly impacted the itineraries of all flights of the airline today," the company said in a bulletin.

Copa Airlines asked its passengers to check the status of their flights as they may have been impacted by the outages.
