Tragic accident in El Valle

A tragic accident occurred in El Valle de Antón, in Coclé at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 2nd, 2017 when an American pastor accidentally reversed over his 2-year-old daughter.

Pastor Graham Astin Davis, 41 started his Nissan Pathfinder in the morning in front of his El Valle home. Believing his two-year-old Noelly Belle Davis Prince was  in the back seat where he and his wife Nicole had placed her, he put the car in reverse.

Not knowing she had climbed out of the vehicle when he reversed he felt a  bump and discovered his daughter under a back wheel. Distraught Graham rushed her to the El Valle Ministry of Health Clinic where the on duty doctor pronounced her dead, reports El Siglo.

this was a communication through the El Valle group. There is a Go Fund Me campaign to help the family with expenses.

Dear Friends in El Valle,

I have not known how to write this or what to say, but I'm sure many of you have already heard of the tragic accident that happened on Sunday.  You also know the family of Graham and Nicole Davis, who has been in El Valle for 4 years.  Their precious 2-year-old daughter, Noelly, died on Sunday morning when her father accidentally backed over her.  Graham and Nicole are now living through indescribable sadness, that few if any of us can comprehend.

When we learned of the accident during our worship services at the church of Christ, the beautiful American, Panamanian and Kuna believers of the church united as one family in sorrow, support, and prayer.  The outpouring of love from the community has been so appreciated.  So many of you came by on Sunday afternoon to offer love and condolences, and to help by bringing drinks, food, and cookies.  Some of you were a part of our worship time Sunday night when we also remembered little Noelly.

In a few days, the Davis family will be traveling to the U.S. where they will bury their daughter and be with family.  As you can imagine, there will be additional expenses over the coming weeks.  Many have asked how they can help.  We took up a special collection for the family on Sunday night and will continue collecting more for them.  If anyone would like to donate to the family, please bring your donations to the church of Christ in La Reforma and we will be sure they reach Graham and Nicole during this devastating time.  We also have a book where you can write a message to them or maybe leave a memory of Noelly.

The family is planning a special memorial service for little Noelly Davis on Tuesday night, the 4th of July, at 6:30.  This will occur at the building where the iglesia de Cristo meets in La Reforma  (the former building of the Damas de las Guadelupanas).
