Panama City Parking Fines Increase

Drivers that park illegally in Panama City should expect to face increased fines for their violations in 2017. As vehicles that have been illegally parked are a major contributor to traffic in Panama City the Panamanian government is working to decrees these violations, by hiking the fines.

New fines for drivers who park their vehicles improperly were published in the  Government Gazette Wednesday, December 28. The parking fines will vary from $50 to $100 depending on the place where the infraction is committed. The new rules contemplate doubling the penalty for truck drivers and repeat offenders.
