Meteorite Lands Off of Puerto Armuelles

This morning the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) of Panama confirmed a meteorite landed in the pacific ocean this morning, Tuesday 24 November 2015, off the coast of Puerto Armuelles, Chiriqui.

José Donderis, CEO SINAPROC, explained that the incident occurred at about 4:50 a.m, when the meteorite hit the nets of a vessel was on island Isla Ladrones, an island just off the coast of Puerto Armuelles.

Donderis added that the vessel will arrive this afternoon at the Pedregal port, in the province of Chiriqui.
