Pride Panama 2022 festival announced

Pride Panama, the organizer behind the LGBTIQ+ Pride Month has announced this year’s activities which will take place in June, will embody the slogan "All different, all family."

Pride Month in Panama is part of the global commemoration of the Stonewall riots, New York, United States in 1969; when thousands of gay and gender-diverse youth challenged the abuse of the authorities with protests rejecting discrimination.

In a press conference announcing this years theme, the organization confirmed political scientist, academic and presidential candidate Richard Morales will be the flag bearer for the march. 

Dr. Morales seeks public policy for families without discrimination and education that recognize and guarantee rights without discrimination.

Pride Panama 2022 Activities

- Saturday, June 4, 2022 LesboFest at Hotel W an LBTIQ women’s festival organized by the International Coalition of Women and Families (CIMUF).

- Pride Month 2022 activities will take place in the different hotels of the Marriott International and Selina.

- Panama Pride 2022 will include activities in in Chiriquí, the Azuero region, Penonomé and Coclé.

- June 25th, the closing of the festival will begin at 4:00 p.m. on with the traditional "pride march", leaving from the Metro station on the Vía Argentina to the Urracá Park.
