New Quarantine measures in Panama July 12
Panama has announced a curfew for the districts of Donoso and Gualaca and Chepo, Las Tablas, and Chitré starting July 12th.
July 12, 2021, brings new quarantine measures to Panama. Panama’s Minister of Health announced in Executive Decree No. 797 of July 9, 2021, starting Monday, the district of Donoso (Colón), Gualaca (Chiriquí), and Chepo (Panama), will have a curfew and it will be applied from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am
The decree also indicates that for the district of Las Tablas in the Los Santos province and Chitré in Herrera, there will be a curfew from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and a total quarantine on Sundays, without working hours or mobility, starting Saturday (from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am).
Panama West (including Arraiján, Chame, and San Carlos) remains under a curfew from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am daily. La Chorrera, Penonomé, and Pesé remain in total quarantine on Sundays.
An article published in La Prensa spoke to sanitary fences, and that people traveling to be vaccinated are exempted from the total quarantine provision.
