Panama allows increased mobility

As of Monday August 24th 2020, The Panamanian government lifted the curfew that only kept the mobility of citizens at just two hours a day.

The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre explained that the days based on gender are still in affect. Women can now circulate Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. and men Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Sunday is still a day of total quarantine.

The decision was made a day after some economic activities were reactivated including retail sales, vehicle sales, beauty services and barber shops, which had been closed for 5 months.

Another of the announced changes is the reduction of the weekend quarantine, which will be from Saturday night to 5 am on Monday; and other activities such as wholesaling, bookstores, real estate offices, and the reopening of other public and private construction projects are reactivated.
