8 cases of Coronavirus in Panama
Panamanian authorities announced Tuesday March 10th 2020 that there are 8 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Panama, and one person has died.
School has been canceled in the capital, major sporting events and fairs have been suspended and Social Security has suspended elective surgeries in three hospitals.
Emergency rooms of the CSS have an exclusive triage for respiratory diseases.
The man who died was a teacher, Professor Norato González, director of the Monsignor Francisco Beckman School. Two teachers from that school tested positive for Covid-19. Norato González was 64 years old and died on March 8. Francisco Beckman has 211 teachers and more than 4 thousand students.
