Two charged for forigener’s murder
A New Zealand man was killed May 2nd 2019 in Guna Yala. Two Panamanian men have been charged with aggravated homicide along with robbery, criminal association and mistreatment of a minor.
Alan Culverwell and his wife and 11 year old daughter were anchored in the region of Guna Yala Panama, when 3 men boarded their boat in the early hours of the morning.
The Guardian reported, Culverwell died of gunshot wounds while his wife and 11-year-old daughter were injured in the attack. The attack generated a lot of attention in the New Zealand news over the weekend.
The hearing, that took place Saturday afternoon in Colon, revealed the identity of two suspects, Leandro Herrera and Avelino Arosemena. And a third, as a minor, who appeared in court in connection with the case.
