Panama meets with U.S Secretary of State

The Vice President of Panama Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado, will meet with the Secretary of State of the United States, Michael Pompeo to discuss "commercial exchange, security, and innovation."

The visit to Washington aims to fortify ties between the two countries while easing tension being created by the crisis in Venezuela. 

The agenda of the VP will begin Monday Feb 4th and continue until the 7th. During this time there will be meetings held with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Furthermore, the Gorgas Memorial Institute of Health Studies along with the National Secretariat of Science and Technology and Innovation and the Technological University of Panama will have the chance to disseminate the work of the Panamanian scientific community.
