Fishermen spot marine snakes on the shores of Los Santos
A group of fishermen confirmed on Sunday, November 4, the sighting of marine snakes in several coastal areas of the province of Los Santos.
They reported that they have been seen on Isla Iguana in the district of PedasÃ, and other regions of the Pacific coast of Los Santos.
The information was corroborated by agents of the National Police of the zone, who in their preliminary reports indicate that there are seen on the coasts.
These are marine snakes of the yellow-bellied species ( Hydrophis platurus ), which is characterized by a lateral flattened body of black and yellow. They like to swim on the surface and can dive for up to eight hours.
The last sighting of these marine snakes was during Carnival last year on the beaches of Los Santos province.
