First natural gas plant Panama

The first natural gas generator was inaugurated today in Panama.

After 27 months after beginning its construction, this  morning Friday, August 17, 2018, the first electric generation plant based on natural gas was inaugurated in Panama and Central America, a project developed by AES Colón.

It is a project that continues to contribute to the country’s economic growth, said Miguel Bolinaga, president of AES in Panama, during the event. ’’it took a total investments of approximately 2.6 billion dollars," added Bolinaga.  IDuring its highest construction phase, the project generated more than 2,500 jobs.
