4th bridge construction awarded

The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) yesterday awarded the Panama Fourth Bridge Consortium the tender to design and build the fourth bridge over the Canal for $1,420 million.

The holder of the portfolio, Ramón Arosemena , signed the resolution after the General Directorate of Public Procurement confirmed the ministry’s performance in the contracting process, dismissing the claims of the Astaldi-Daelim and Fourth Bridge CSCEC-CREC consortiums .


The winning consortium consists of China Communications Construction Company and its subsidiary China Harbor Engineering Company.
