Ex football players reject Varella’s offer

Blas Pérez and Felipe Baloy reject the position offered by Varela

Panamanians, Blas Pérez and Felipe Baloy, reject the position offered by the President of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela, to work as sports consultants at the Panamanian Sports Institute (Pandeportes) and for the special projects in the Ciudad Esperanza in Arraiján, as well as carry out sports clinics nationwide, at a salary of $ 5,000 per month.

In a statement signed by both exfutbolistas, they indicate that they have taken the decision to be involved and support the sport outside the public sector.

"After consulting with our families, we have taken the decision to support  the sport outside the public sector and within our possibilities, work towards  the growth and development of culture and sports in communities with children," the statement said.

At the same time they thanked the president for  considering them for the positions.

The World Cup players added that they are starting a new stage in their lives, where you will always find two humble servants who want to continue contributing to a better country outside the courts.
