Cocle protest close the highway

Protesters in Cocle and Colon closed the Interamerican highway early morning Wednesday, April 25th, 2018. The group of protestors was primarily farmers demanding land titles.

Approximately 300 residents of the northern area of Coclé and Donoso, in the province of Colon, blocked the road starting at 5:00 a.m. creating traffic primarily in Penonome. 

The road was reopened after 7:45 a.m. and the demonstration came to an end with a request for Juan Carlos Varela the president of the country to take action.
