Minor dies at Ciudad Magica park in Penonome

Penonomé authorities suspend activities at the amusement park after the death of a minor

The Mayor of Penonome with various security forces ordered the temporary suspension of all activities at the amusement park after the death of a 13 year child.  The temporary measure was adopted so that an investigation can be carried out by the Public Ministry.

On April 1, Rosa Hernández lost her life after she derailed on the El Gusanito ride. She was immediately brought to the Aquilino Tejeira Penonome hospital by her relatives as there were no first aid care at the park.  The young girl died during surgery.

Park administrators said that their paperwork is in order and it includes a liability policy.  Like any service company, they are prone to accidents, although this is the first time they have experienced anything of this magnitude.

Paolo Malabassi said he regretted what had happened and expressed his intention to collaborate with the authorities as well as with the minor’s family.
