90 people linked to cases of robberies and auto theft

A ring of seven bands dedicated to robbing cars was dismantled by the National Police and the Public Ministry (MP) during 2017.

these groups, that harm to the security of the entire country, are out of commission and waiting to face the courts’  said Deputy Commissioner Hector Wong of the Directorate of Investigation Judicial.

A total of  502 vehicles have been recovered. According to Wong, they have also found vehicles that have had their chassis numbers altered in order to not be detected. 

Through a communiqué, the Police are asking that people avoid the purchase of vehicles at low cost for which they do not know the history, as they could easily be acquiring goods of illicit origin.
