Rubén Blades performing at Latin Grammys Nov 16

Blades, who has three nominations, will sing at the Latin Grammys awards ceremony in which five other Panamanians are nominated in six other categories.

This award show rewards the best of music in Spanish and Portuguese. Panamanians artists also nominated are Erika Ender, Roberto Delgado and the brothers, Alberto and Ricardo Gaitán.

Panamanian Ignacio Molino, sound engineer, for productions of Rubén Blades and Roberto Delgado is being nominated in the categories: recording of the year and album of the year.

The event will be broadcasted on the Univision network from 8:00 p.m., on the east coast of the United States.


Of the group of five Panamanians, there are eight nominations to the Latin Grammy Awards, these are recording categories of the year, the song of the year, best singer-songwriter album, best salsa album and best contemporary tropical album.

Blades and Delgado share nominations in the album of the year and best salsa album categories. Blades is nominated for the record of the year with The flower of cinnamon.

In addition to Blades, Diplo, Bomba Estéreo, Alejandro Fernández, Vicente García, Los Macorinos, Víctor Manuelle, Carlos Rivera, Mau and Ricky and Danay Suárez will perform.
