The Amador Cruise Terminal

The Amador Cruise Terminal, a $165 million dollar investment, will be ready to receive cruises ships in 24 months. The goal is to increase tourism from the Alaska, Caribbean, Pacific and California routes.

"I am sure that we will make our country a strong competitor of the cruise industry and a world tourism power," said President Juan Carlos Varela.
The terminal will have the capacity to receive, simultaneously, two megabucks of up to a total of 10 thousand passengers.

The complex will include different green areas, parking lots and facilities for boarding passengers and handling their luggage.

"We will work together with the public sector and the private sector to strengthen our services infrastructure and attract the largest number of tourists and incomes to our nation," Varela added.

This project was awarded by the Panama Maritime Authority to the consortium Cruceros del PacĂfico, made up of the Belgian company Jan De Nul and the Chinese company CHEC, which will be in charge of the design and construction of the port.
