US Vice President Mike Pence to Visit Panama

Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, will tour Central and South America from August 13th to the 18th. Pence made the announcement Thursday, June 13th during his participation in the conference on Prosperity and Security of Central America in Miami.

During his tour, Pence will visit Cartagena, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Santiago and Panama City. 

Pence explained that his tour is in an effort to continue to build ties with countries of the area as instructed by the president of the United States, Donald Trump. 

During his tour of these Central and South American cities, Pence will meet with presidents along with business guilds to talk about issues related to treaties and investments wrote La Prensa. He will also “analyze how the US government will be able to collaborate in agriculture, infrastructure development and security with the countries of the Latin American region.”
