Two fire service women killed

Arianeth Rodríguez, 22, Fire Service graduate and Yariseth Cornejo 20, paramedic were killed in a car crash during heavy rain in Chiriqui on Wednesday, April 19. Both were part of the Benémerito Fire Corps.

The two young women were traveling on the Pan-American highway at the Gariché line, in Bugaba when their car collided with a pickup truck.

Co-workers came to their aid but one of the women died at the scene and the other in the emergency room of the Pablo Espinosa Polyclinic in Bugaba.Two others were injured in the accident.
