Body of American US Peace Corps volunteer identified

A body found floating in a creek in the community of Cerro Gavilán Ngabe Bugle April 8th 2017, has been identified as  24-year-old Cody Oser, from Colorado. This identified was confirmed by Peace Corps director Sheila Crowley.

The Peace corp volunteer was found by members of the local community, who informed the police.  Authorities have transferred the body to the judicial morgue where an autopsy will be completed to determine the cause of death.

Oser and 46 other  volunteers were sworn in on September 20, 2016 by  US Ambassador John Feely. At the ceremony Minister of Agricultural Development Eduardo Enrique Carles praised their efforts  efforts to contribute to improving quality of  life of farm workers and indigenous communities.
