Chame Mayor speaks out about Swingers Party

This week the cover of El Siglo announced a swingers party in Chame. The event, set to take place Saturday November 19th in the Campestre Club La Cueva del Oso in Chame has been denounced by the Mayor of Chame, Nieves Mayorga.

Mayorga, spoke about the event Friday, November 18th explaining that "swinger" activities or the exchange of couples, the type of event that was being promoted for Saturday, lack a permit to take place.

The mayor explained that the Commissioner of the National Police of Chame would with the ensure that these type of activities were not carried out in the region. She stated, “this activity nor any other activities that deteriorate the moral and cultural values of our district will be carried out” in Friday’s morning edition of Telemetro Reporta.

She said that it is "regrettable" that the district became a "newspaper cover and not for good news”, furthermore, she said “it is unfortunate that social networks have disseminated information that is not verified” as the event has not been met with the corresponding permits, she emphasized .

However, the governor for Panama West stated that while the mayor regrets authorizing the event, she did authorize the permit, without knowing the type of activity that would take place.

However, Mayorga explained to El Siglo that was not the case, she did not grant any permits for that period, after checking that the permit was not disguised under another activity. The mayor said there could be a fine of up to $250, with a suspension of the activity and a visit by the national police.

While the location is a bit hidden clear guidelines were published on social media. The event fee was set at $20 per couple, men could not enter by themselves, however, single women could attend for free. Doors close at 9:30 p.m. The post explained that private suites would be available for the cost of $10 for two hours and $60 for the night.
