US Army Sergeant Found Guilty in the Murder of Vanessa Rodriguez

Yesterday, March 28 2016, US Army Sergeant Omar Velez Pagan was found guilty in the murder of Panamanian college student, Vanessa Rodriguez. Rodriguez’s body was discovered  June 23, 2014,  by a police officer on a farm near the river Guararé in Los Santos.

A pickaxe, a shovel and a white powder similar to lime were found, next to the body which he was presumably trying to bury.

The trial was held in Fort Bragg in North Carolina, where Pagan will be sentenced for second degree murder on March 29.
