Panama to Attend UN Climate Change Conference
The largest conference for climate change in the world will take place in Paris on November 30 2015. Panama is sending what some have called a “mega delegation”. When you hear the list of people attending, it is clear why.
The delegation is to be led by President uan Carlos Varela he will be accompanied by the Minister of Environment and Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation, Also on the delegation are, the Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Education, Panama Canal Authority, The National Secretariat of Energy of Panama Metro, the Humid Tropics of Latin America Center of Panama Mayor, the Technological University of Panama, Natura Foundation, two members of the Committee on Environment and the Guna General Congress.
The large guest list will represent Panama in the “Alliance for Rainforests”. During the conference, Panama will be taking part in 30 summit meeting with 52 other countries in an effort to develop national strategies for climate change.
