Free Introductory Yoga Classes at El Litoral in Coronado
El Litoral Yoga Studio in Coronado will be hosting introductory classes from September 23rd to September 28th. New students are invited to attend the classes free of charge. The studio will be closed from September 2nd till September 21st to prepare for the new schedule, which will offer both high impact and low impact classes. Low impact classes will include: Level 1 Hatha yoga, Water Yoga & Restorative Yoga. High impact classes will include: Level 2 Hatha Yoga, Fly Yoga, Burn Yoga, & Pilates.
Hatha Yoga stretches and aligns the body, improving balance and flexibility. Through deep breathing and meditation yoga can rid your mind of stress and anxiety. The basic principles of Hatha Yoga are applied to all classes at El Litoral.
Fly Yoga at El Litoral has become favorite among many residents of the Pacific beach community. In Fly Yoga a fabric hammock becomes a playground for you to explore. The Fly Yoga Hammock also provides your body support, allowing for a deeper stretch.
If you are looking a low impact practice, try Restorative Yoga or Water Yoga. Restorative Yoga takes place mostly on your yoga mat, postures are held for upwards of 5 minutes, allowing the body to relax into each pose. Water yoga takes gravity out the equation, making each movement easier while creating a gentle stretch.
Anyone seeking a high impact class should try Pilates or Burn Yoga. Pilates is a system of exercises that work to build long lean muscles, strengthening the legs, abs, arms, hips and back. Burn yoga uses several yoga flows (a combination of poses) to raise your heart rate and make you sweat.
